Week4 Response

Hello, these are my photos relating on framing. Some of them were taken months ago. So, it means that I  have done active and passive framing unconsciously. I tried to remember why I do passive and active framing on different or same objects. Then I got the conclusion.  In active framed photos, something is emphasized and weakens the surrounding environment. I do it because, I want to shoot something clearly. In passive framed photos, observers will move their eyes because there is no obvious emphasis. Just like landscape photos, there is the overall beauty from the sky to the sea, as well as the detailed beauty from clouds to waves. Of course, there are some photos that I can't quite determine whether it is an active or passive frame. I put two at last. Please see the end if you are interested in analysis.  In addition, the framing idea remind me a video. I think it actively framing a lot. At Halloween in AC. I changed the pot for mint. Definitely, you can know what's going

Week 3 Response

Jurgenson argues that Social photographing can put instant moment into permanent tangible documentary, making our life collectable and making us more conscious on our life. He calls photos are nostalgia because the moment they recorded were past. He also puts a sadness mood relating the past moment to death.  His arguments make sense to me, all photos records only that moment that have already past. We desire the moment that had past away. However, I disagree to say that the moments are death, it is gone in time domain, but it is still in mind domain. If every past moment is considering dead, people will be killed by the guilt of wasting their time. I enjoy looking social life photos of past, it shouldn't be sad. I have to admit that I look my dogs photos often because I miss them. I have been more than two years away from home. I feel healed and happy when I look at the pictures of them when they were young and when they grew up. But don't feel lost. I some I think people take

Week 2 Response

I drew 36 pages this week. They are about the same character in different angles and colors. Unfortunately, the markers I bought at Amazon are still on the way, and some of them can't be painted. https://youtube.com/shorts/IJFRrFIlp6U I can't believe how inclusive the book is. It is inspiring.  Here some I like. (pg. 69) (pg.86) It summaries itself well: "From those elements, designers created images, icons, textures, diagrams, animations, and typographic system ... every complex design shown in the book results at some level from the interaction of points, lines, and planes." (pg. 2) My notes. Points, line, shape, and plane.  Code, pattern, and curve. Rhythm, repetition, rotation, balance, and change. Symmetry and Asymmetry. Layers and pacing. Graceful entry and spinal orientation.  Scale, relative scale, point of view, absence of scale, inflated scale. Environmental typography, and texture.  Topographic landscape and typographic landscape.  Emphasis, opposite contra

Mar 28-Apr 3 2022 Reflection and Term Objects

Self Intro  I had already introduced myself on Blogger. So, simplified here: She, her. Art Studio Major Junior Turned 21 at March this year. I had already on my way in Art. I went to Philadelphia during spring break with friends.  Week 1 Reflection In the first week of school, I participated in the CSA president election. As a voter, I felt be a fool. The election took 4 hours. I listened carefully, and voted with my critics. Then, I heard from my friend who is one of board members that they canceled votes from none board members. It was totally unfair. Me and another voter who also got canceled argued this with the current president. Finally, they made a revote according to our advice.  There is someone making troubles there. I know it's my friend's friend. I didn't tell to others since I'm afraid it will hurt my friend's feelings. So, my anger and disappointment have nowhere to go until things are solved.  The next day, I made a summery: once I was impetuous; I wo
