The Instagram did hid the ad about Blurb from me. However, this is enough to prove that instagram and blurb share the data of consumers and users on both sides. As it literally meaning, it's hidden, it's gone on my ins, but that doesn't mean the leakage of my personal privacy has stopped. I always see the advertisements when shopping or searching on other websites. This reminds me of a word: big data.
Big data can push you a lot of the same or similar things according to the keywords you search and read. Some apps even share data, so that you can see conditioner ads on other websites after you buy shampoo on one website.
With the global popularity of the network, the network eliminates the time and space between people all over the world. Facebook, Messenger, instagram, zoom, wechat, all kings of emails... Even if you need to contact Party A on the other side of the world, you can still communicate quickly and conveniently through the network. Because of this convenience, many network software no longer just transfer information, but begin to control information. When you are on the Internet, it is likely that your every behavior is recorded. For example, I gave "like" to tiktok videos about a shepherd dog, and soon I receive many videos related to dogs. Also, I will receive some "unrelated" recommendations on different platforms, such as Amazon's dog food, and pet insurance on Google advertising page.
Perhaps some people will enjoy the relevant content recommendation brought by this big data. Because it recommends just what they need and like.
But this passive acceptance is gradually making people lose the ability to actively find and understand. Imagine if you receive a message that is wrong and biased. But you accept it over and over again. Will you agree that it is a common idea or phenomenon of the public.
In this era of rapid information flow, sometimes I need to stop and think. I want a wide and quiet space that has no connection with the world.
I believe you have the same experience as me. I hope you can maintain rational judgment in this era of rapid flow of information. The above is my thinking about global village, the reason for making this video and the original intention of choosing this theme. You are welcome to discuss here.
Yes, I also used to face this such situation! This is because of big data. But I don't really know whether it is good or not.
ReplyDeleteYes, big data has its two sides.
ReplyDeleteI want to express my reactions toward the personal information disclosure by the drawing in the video. The speed of my drawing is the speed of my reaction at that time. I didn't use my own faces but the simple cartoon character, and I hope you can feel the connection between it.
